The Student Parliament Program whilst opening out opportunities of practical experiences to students on democracy, its responsibility and accountability, on supremacy of the law, on significance of the vote and casting the vote; and developing their attitudes and skills like engaging in dialogue, reaching agreement, listening to and respecting the opinions of others and accepting the concept of agreement by majority; envisaged the building up of a broad social cohesion. Circular No.2008/15 which was issued in April 2008 which contained the Manual of Instructions introducing the student parliament program to schools is superseded by this Circular which is effective from the year 2016.
